When his shift was over, Zane changed out of his uniform in the back room and retrieved a guitar case. Wearing a white jacket and jeans, he locked up the store and headed for the place Cale inevitably ended up on his tours of NY, /the/ landmark, the Empire State Building. He found him at the base, looking uncomfortable in the midst of a crowd of people and staring up at it. He was at least an inch shorter than most of the people surrounding him, and it was almost entertaining. Meanwhile, towering Zane waved at him to catch his attention, and after some shoving they were reunited. The walk back was silent for the most part as Zane tried to decided what would be the best way to approach the subject of stalking without invoking Terezi's name. Eventually he looked at Cale and said "You know, perhaps you should stop going out in the evenings, you need money to pay off the creditors. I will do what I can to help, but I know a man who works at a club, and he may be able to get you a....Cale? Are you listening?"
Cale was, in fact, blocking him out, instead staring down the street at Tassek, who had stopped to talk to a newspaper vendor about how he might be hired for a route. Cale reached up and put a hand over Zane's mouth, who, eyes flicking between Tassek and the look on Cale's face, comprehended the situation and let out a muffled sigh, pulling his hand away.
"Can you please leave him alone? I know about your 'principal' thing, but this is illegal and will earn repercussions from other involved parties."
"Zane, there are some things you're never gonna understand, and hunting is one of them. He's /mine/."
"Cale, please!"
Tassek looked over at the source of excited conversation and his breath caught as he recognized the ponytail stalker, seemingly having a lover's quarrel with a tall blonde guy. He muttered an apology and a goodbye to the vendor, then turned and ran.
When Cale glanced back, the prey was gone. Dammit. He growled, and slipping his shoulder out of Zane's grip, ran down the street after him, disregarding the blatancy of his actions. Zane groaned "Here we go again" and followed on his long legs, trying for a little more subtlety.

Terezi, on the other hand, was enjoying the peace she was given. The sound night pleased her. The full moon gave a little edge to the night. Tassek just ran right past her.
Wait a second, what?
She turned around. Sure enough, that was him. What was he running from-oh. Shit. She quickly moved after him. Man, she couldn't catch a break today.
She was able to catch up to him, grab him, and pull him into a dark alley. Not the best places, but it was something to buy them some time for him to explain what happened.

Tassek was suddenly and forcefully dragged off the street and into a dark alleyway. He managed to whimper "I don't have any money on me, please don't..." before he went limp, dropping the bag of groceries he'd been trying (and failing) to get home all day.
From Cale's point of view the boy simply disappeared around a corner entirely. He peered around as Zane caught up.
"We are going home now. Come on."
"Where the heck did he go?! He was just there!"
"/Cale./"
"...ugh. Whatever."

He went limp in her grip. Terezi let out a soft exhale. Oh yeah. That thing. It was probably a bad idea to just grab him like that.
This kid was turning out to be a royal pain. May she shouldn't of saved him that day. Ha! Who was she kidding? Of course she didn't regret saving him.
She tossed him onto her back and picked up his back of groceries. Looks like it was going to be yet another walk home with him. She just hoped she didn't get spotted by the big-bad-vampire-who-needs-to-buzz-off. Terezi exited the alley.

Cale had his back to her as he walked away, looking pretty pissed, but Zane glanced over his shoulder, smiled, and waved a little. Then they both turned the corner and disappeared.
Tassek was actually snoring a little in his awkward position on her back.

Thankfully, only Zane saw them. Good. She gave him a nod and continued on her way.
Once she got back to her home finally, she once again tossed Tassek on the couch and placed his bag of groceries in her fridge. No need for them to spoil.

Tassek really didn't seem to want to wake up. Good for the groceries though, that would've been a sad waste of money.

Ah. The night of New York. The city that never sleeps. The city filled with crime and a vampires buffet of all types of blood. Positves, Negatives, Os and As. It was a dream come true.
And he hated each and every single part of this place.
Spyders Vincent Voluptatem was a more old-fashioned person. The tall male only visited when he had too, and lived somewhere on the outskirts of town where he had his fair share of drunk teenagers and helpless young lovers who wanted to see what an actual night sky looked like. He never felt guilty about their deaths though. They had it coming, and it was their fault for putting their trust in some stranger they barely knew. Morality was such a terrible thing as well, as all your work would be for naught. He enjoyed his lifestyle as a vampire, and wouldn't have it any other way.
He brushed his sapphire blue bangs aside and rested his feet on the couch in a rather cheap apartment he let himself in. Currently, he was waiting for a certain vampire to arrive home so they could have a little chat about his pet. It wasn't anything personal about the only human he had ever turned, but the man who awed her seemed more eager to give out more information of he whereabouts than she ever would. What was this, her three hundredth apartment now? Just buy a house already dammit. Though he knew the reason behind this. Terezi Pyrope feared him, and wanted nothing to do with him, but she didn't have any choice but to listen to him. He was her superior and her master.
Spyders heard the front door open. Ah, yes. There he was now. His amethyst eyes stared at the doorway, waiting for Cale to notice him.

Cale and Zane arrived at his/their apartment. Cale opened the door. Then immediately shut it again. He looked at Zane and said "You should probably go. Spyders isn't known for leaving a meal untouched." Zane frowned and crossed his arms. "Do not be ridiculous. I can defend myself perfectly fine, and in any case I contribute to the payment of this apartment as well, so I have every right to enter." He couldn't argue with that logic, so, plastering a smile on his face, he opened the door again and spread his arms wide in a welcoming gesture. "Spydyyyy! I see you found the key under the doormat! Good, good, so, whaddya need? Or is this just a friendly visit?"

As Cale was talking to his little soda fountain, Spyders didn't even move from his position, and just looked at his finely manicured nails. Appearance was everything to him, and he made sure to keep up with those appearances even within death. "Stay if you want, but it's you're funeral if I want my food to go." He commented in a monotone voice as the two of them bickered.
However, when Zane finally shut the fuck up and Cale finally came forward, a small smirk spread across Spyders's face. "Oh I just came to stop by. See the place. Enjoy the city. Though..." He sat up and crossed his legs. His elbow resting on the arm of the couch and his palm supporting his chin. "I would like to hear some gossip about you-know-who. What can you tell me?"
2015-04-11 19:47:55 -

Oh, so it was one of /these/. Keeping up the grin, he told him what he knew in hopes that he'd leave quickly and without a snack. "Well, she's been hanging out with this scrawny little human, and as far as I can tell she has't even fed on him once. I dunno what her plans are for him. Maybe she's just fattening him up? Anyway, she got a nice new apartment. Seems settled in. I don't think she's going anywhere anytime soon." As he spoke Cale took off his shoes and opened the window to the night air casually. Zane, however, remained in the doorway, arms crossed. He didn't like this one bit.

Spyders kept his purple eyes locked on Cale. Clearly, he was more interested in conversation than a meal. "A human?" He raised an eyebrow. "Tell me what you know about this, if you would be so kind to." Obviously, Cale had Spyder's full attention now. Sure enough, the apartment would be his next stop, but that could wait. The night was young, he wasn't bound to anything in particular so he would stay here as long as needed be.
2015-04-11 20:02:54 -
🌀
He had better not try to steal his prey. Even if it was Spyders, he wouldn't stand for it. "...I missed the part where she met him, but she's been really protective. She even tried to walk him home so I would leave him alone." Maybe that would turn the guy off of a hunt. "He knows where she lives, too, and somehow has been continuously leaving in one piece."
2015-04-11 20:20:26 -
●
"Really?" This did the exact opposite for him. "Very well then. I'll have to ask Terezi about this human." Spyders paused. "You are aware of her address, correct?"
2015-04-11 20:24:21 -
🌀
He eyed the guy out of the corner of his vision. Should he? Dammit. He owed him too much to keep the information to himself. "...yeah." He told him the number reluctantly. Zane had disappeared when the conversation took a turn for the potentially dangerous to others. He was on his way to Terezi's. Cale noticed, but didn't stop him.

With a fanged smile, Spyders said his goodbyes and exited the home, and without noticing the human had left the home as well.
Terezi finally had a moment of peace. Tassek was sound asleep on the couch, and she had to admit she could appreciate the way he slept. Because of it, she sat on the other couch, occasionally looking over at him while she sewed something small. Of course it was part of the wedding dress she was making, but it was one of the smaller part to it.
2015-04-11 20:35:59 -
🌀
Zane hurried down the dark, mostly empty streets towards Terezi's apartment. He'd caught the address and found it fairly quickly, his sense of direction being quite better than Cale's. He went upstairs and knocked on the door.
Tassek woke up sleepily to the knock, eyes half-open, and was surprised to find himself in one piece and at Terezi's once again. "....what...?"
2015-04-11 20:41:23 -
●
Terezi heard a knouck. If that was Cale, she was just going to punch him. Fuck this. Fuck this mess. She was done.
However, the knouck also woke Tassek as well. "Just stay there, I'll be right back." Terezi then set down her sewing before she rushed to the door and answered it.
Zane? "Oh, hello. I didn't expect you."
2015-04-11 20:46:35 -
🌀
He was wringing his hands, and the guitar case was still on his back. Dispensing with greetings, he warned "There is a blue-haired man coming for you. For your own safety, I believe you should take shelter elsewhere."
Tassek sat up and watched the two at the door. The blonde guy had been with Cale; was he going to try and grab him again?
2015-04-11 20:52:17 -
●
Terezi's expression changed from a happier one to one of fear. No, dammit. She especially didn't want him here now. She didn't want him here ever! She glanced back at Tassek before looking back at Zane. "I want you take Tassek and get him out of here, before he-"
"Before what I what exactly?" Her words were cut off by the blue hair male standing next to the doorway. Fuck. it was too late. Spyders had already shown up. Why was he here of all times?
2015-04-11 20:57:27 -
🌀
Zane's eyes widened and he planted himself in the opening. "Go out the window or something, I will attempt to hold him off." Pulling the guitar out of its case, he held it like a club, his expression grimly determined. He knew he wouldn't last long.
What was going on? He scrambled off the couch and away from the door, into the kitchen, where he grabbed a knife, hands shaking. Breathe. Breathe.
2015-04-11 21:02:32 -
●
"Oh I don't think that won't be necessary. See, she has to let me in." His gaze turned to the shorter woman. "Don't you, Terezi."
Fuck. Terezi was shaking. It was obvious to everyone she was scared. Though, she didn't have a choice. She HAD to let him in. Terezi took a few steps back. Dontnoticethehuman.Dontnoticethehuman.Dontnoticethehuman.
2015-04-11 21:07:50 -
🌀
Zane glanced from Spyders to Terezi, frowning. "I, however, do not. So I must ask you to leave." She was obviously doing this against her will and better judgement. He felt obligated to help.
Tassek took the knife and hid behind the counter, trying to keep himself calm. Falling asleep with a knife in his hand would be bad, not that falling asleep without it wouldn't lead to the same fate.
2015-04-11 21:13:15 -

Spyders was turned to Zane, now obviously annoyed. He turned to the whining human. "Listen well, you walking blood bath. These are matters that are beyond your control and something you need not concern yourself. So I suggest you leave before I rip your heart out."
Terezi slowly backed up, using the wall to keep her balance as she quietly stepped. Shitshitshit. She needed to get Tassek to safety.
2015-04-11 21:19:36 -
🌀
His worried gaze turned to a death glare at the 'walking bloodbath' part. But he was smarter than to try a fight he couldn't win. So instead he stepped forwards out of the doorway and closed it behind him, walking away silently. The doorknob was strangely mangled and the lock was forced into place as he disappeared into the stairwell.
He heard footsteps coming towards him, but he was too scared to look over the countertop and see who it was. Was he dead? He was probably dead.
