He wasn't even positive himself, but he tried. Standing by the couch, he said "He's been waiting by my apartment every evening since...last time. I think he's been trying to get me alone. He shadows me whenever I go anywhere, including here, and I think he's outside right now..." He shoved his hands in his pockets, shoulders hunched defensively from the state of paranoia he'd been in for weeks now.

Terezi tossed the fabric through the open door to her room as she followed him to the living room. Once he was finished explaining, she immediately responded. "Well, he is also a vampire. However.." She folded her arms. "If he is who i think he is, then he knows better as to not to come here. I can't necessarily help you once you leave, and I'm sure he knows that as well."

So she knew him? Interesting. And slightly terrifying. "I knew it. So I'm screwed, basically?" If he left he'd die, if he stayed he'd feel horribly guilty for imposing. Which was worse? He couldn't decide.

"Depends." Her gaze didn't leave his. "How much are willing to put up with me? Because he may be stupid, but he isn't stupid enough to hurt a human if I'm nearby." Obviously the man had been following him for a reason, and she had an idea as to why, but she wasn't going to let that happen.

...was she offering to protect him? He flicked his stare to the ground instead. "....really? Um...I wouldn't mind. Are you sure?" He wasn't sure if this was true or not. She still scared him a little and was very aware of how to make him vulnerable. She could be a horrible enemy...but, potentially, also a valuable friend.

"Well, I don't really have anything better to do." Terezi leaned against the wall. "Plus, I don't believe in senseless murder, and that's more than likely what he'll do to you, or possibly force you to be strung along with him." She shuttered at the last thought. God, she was a killer and all, but Cale was just completely insane for putting someone through that.

Senseless murder was such a pleasant prospect. He wasn't sure what she meant by 'strung along', but that didn't sound fun either. "Oh. Th-thanks." It would be a little odd going about with a relatively friendly vampire at his side, but he supposed it would be comforting to at least have company. "What if he doesn't leave us alone, though?" Us? What was he talking about? She could very clearly defend herself.

" Oh, he will. Trust me." She knew him too well. "But to be safe, I suggest to make sure most of of your alone time is spent during the day. Vampires basically become cooked lobsters in the sun, it's one of the myths about us that are true, if not the only one." Did he say us? Well, he did make sense. He did depend on her now.

Maybe he should have bought garlic after all. Even if it was a ridiculous prospect at the time. "Alright...I have school during the day, so that probably won't be as much of an issue." Not like he had a crowd of people to hang out with anyway. One could call it 'alone time'.

Garlic? All it'd do was make girls run away from him due to his bad breath, but that wasn't something Terezi was going to say just now. "Well, school is probably going to become best friend. It means crowds and crowds means someone would notice him." Terezi didn't really hang out with humans. Hell, she barely even tolerated her own kind.

School was his only friend. He'd be developing a much more intimate relationship with a building. Great. Well, aside from Athero, and she was a given, plus she didn't attend his college. "I don't know about that, there are some pretty weird people there. He might fit right in." There was an entire occult club that met on Thursdays. He tended to avoid it.

Terezi gave a small laugh. "Now that is something I would like to see. Then again, to me he might as well shoot a flare gun up in the sky and scream exactly where he is.... though I better not jinx it, he might try it." This man has gone above and beyond to catch her attention, and she hated every single second she stared at him.

He smiled a little, shakily. "He'd probably be arrested for disturbing the peace. Thinking about it that way, maybe we should try to get him to do just that and solve the entire problem." A vampire stalker in jail was a harmless vampire stalker. "Anyway, I was originally on the way home...should I drop that plan of action?"
Outside, Cale was, in fact, considering doing just that. At the very least, it would get them out of the building so he could separate them. Unless she was feeding at this very moment, in which case the whole thing was pointless. How frustrating.

"You know I tried that once, sadly it wasn't enough, however." She moved towards the door. "It is worth a shot, and if you were heading home, I'd be happy to at least walk you there."
If Cale were to do something like that, at least it would give her a reason to tear him to pieces. As if she didn't need them already.

"Thanks. I appreciate it." He picked up the bag of groceries off the couch and followed her, brushing the curtains aside and glancing nervously out the window. Cale was still there, glaring up at them. Tassek dropped the fabric and hurried to the door.

Terezi opened the front door to her apartment and stepped outside first, just to be safe. One Tassek was outside, she immediately closed the door and locked it. Last thing she needed was for Cale to rob the place again. "Lead the way" She gestured. Oh, Cale was in for it now. He surely has hit a new low.

He nodded and went downstairs. Breathe. He pushed open the lobby doors and tried to ignore the man waiting there. The sun was almost set, and he couldn't see much aside from the faintly glowing golden eyes and the streetlights.
There he was. Still in one piece, too. Then Terezi came out after him and Cale began backing away. Maybe trying to separate them wasn't the healthiest course of action for him.

Sure enough, it was Cale. From the the corner of her eye, she noticed him there. At least once she came into his view he knew that he fucked up and started to move away. Maybe this was all that Tassek needed? Just for Terezi to show that she isn't putting up with this. Whatever he had planned anyway.
What was his plan, anyhow? Obviously, Tassek was a pawn in this, but could Cale have used any other human? Why did he stalk a human in the first place. She walked next to Tassek as she kept to herself, occasionally depending on her senses to remind her if Cale was there or not.

It obviously wasn't her intention to eat the kid, which sort of ruined the point of the entire plan. Attacking him now would only make her angry, not humiliated. But he could always spread the word that she'd gotten attached to a human. That could do as much for her reputation as losing a meal to him. And besides, he'd invested enough time into this already that giving up would be aggravating and a little depressing. So he pressed on.
Tassek found it slightly odd to be walking somewhere /with/ someone, not just in their general vicinity. Some students he was acquainted with had apartments near his, so they walked home in the same direction, but never talked or even looked at each other. He was perfectly comfortable with that. But this was different, and felt kind of nice. He'd say he had finally had his thirst for human companionship quenched, but considering her species that wasn't entirely true. Actually, no, that's what I would say. Tassek never thought sappy stuff like that with a serious frame of mind.

Unfortunately, this didn't stop the other vampire right away. She could sense him still close by, and possibly he got closer than normal? She wasn't sure. Terezi wasn't the person to follow someone around to no end without striking up a single conversation or tearing her through into them. Even then, she never followed them more than a few hours. Any longer than two and she would give up and find someone else.
The evening was quiet. Too quiet . She didn't like that one bit. Silence was never a good sign. She leaned towards Tassek and quietly whispered "He's still following us, but I do think he is rather intimidated since he hasn't tried anything yet."

He was jolted a little bit by the sudden voice. He would have to get used to having someone trying to converse with him while he walked. "Does that mean we'll be alright for now?" he muttered back. He had to resist the urge to glance behind them for clarification. "Or are you saying he'll try something later out of desperation?"

She thought for a few moments. "Honestly, I'm not sure." Her voice was just as quiet as before. "He could really do either or. I'm not even entirely certain as to what he's up to." Did she really want to know, however?
2015-04-10 23:40:04 -

No, she probably didn't. This was so comforting. "Maybe we should just confront him if you're sure he won't try anything while you're around."
They were talking. About him, probably. He let out a little more space between them, just in case they planned on trying something.

Would they really want to do that? No, scratch that. Would SHE really want to do that. Terezi let out a small groan of annoyance. "I guess that seems like the best course of action." God, she was going to regret this.
Terezi instantly turned around, and now faced Cale. "I think you've followed us long enough." She spoke, her voice now firm and annoyed.

Cale froze. Dammit. "Nope, I think I'd rather go on a little longer, you two continue your murmured sweet nothings or whatever." He shoved his hands in his pockets and put on a casual grin, exposing his fangs.
Their what? In any case, it didn't look like he was going to attack them. Tassek glanced between the two vampires; there was obvious tension, even if it was mostly one-sided.
