((vampirestuck!Terezi, accepting any characters, even ocs! Just tell me who you are before responding. I would like y/c to be human, and if you have ideas please tell me them. As for shipping, I don’t mind, but I’m not really one for smut. The setting is modern day New York City, New York at around midnight in mid fall. I don’t mind on length as long as its not two lines to a 2+ paragraph response.))
The sound of glasses clattered. The base of some new pop song blasted. The smell of cheap beer and perspiration was in the air. A woman with teal neatly manicured nails is handed a glass from the bartender. She had to commit to the part she was played tonight, correct. Even it was the innocent girl who needs help to get home in order to lure someone in a false sense of security. If they let their guard down for long enough, she could “drunkenly” given them a gentle neck kiss which turned into a bite that ended their life and sustained this girl for a while.
Yes, Terezi Pyrope was a vampire, even though she wasn’t entirely proud of it. Her appearance always required her to pull out her fake ID when she tried to get into places like this. The reason simply was her body didn’t past nineteen, though her rather small height could have contributed to it as well. In reality, however; she was close to two hundred and fifty years old. She was turned against her will at the start of the French revolution, and had been on her own ever since.
Of course, she eventually came from France to America in the early nineteen twenties, and became fluent over the years in English as well as her native tongue, French. On occasion she still spoke French, but mainly that was to lure strangers into guiding a lost ‘tourist’ to someplace she can make someones death look like an accident.
How she made money, you may ask? Well, she worked from home as a seamstress. There was a wedding shop a block from her apartment who she sold her best wedding gowns to. The owner there, was the only soul who knew her secret, and it was intended to be kept that way. The pay was decent, so Terezi never complained. It wasn’t like she exactly needed this cash to sustain a lifestyle, only to pay rent and utilities to get by.
Terezi’s teal eyes moved slowly around the room as she pretended to sip the glass. She looked for someone vulnerable, easy. The woman who drank her sorrows away. The man who just came in over a bad break up. The college student who struggled to pay rent. Unfortunately, there was no one in the bar who fit the type tonight. It looked like everyone was conscious of each other, and kept an eye out. That was when she saw someone pass by the bar from the corner of her eye. She turned to face the window, and saw her target. Someone who looked about her physical age walking down the street with their eyes to the ground. Most importantly, they were alone. She saw this as the greatest opportunity. She pulled up her red jacket's hood, payed for her drink, and exited the bar.
Lucky for her, they had yet to notice her. She followed them a few paces behind, as to make sure to not catch anyone's attention. The pullover hoodie also was in her favor since it concealed her face, and the simple excuse to wear it was simply because it was close to the cold season of the year.

Tassek Paxaro was on the way back to his dorm, yawning. He was in his first year of college, still trying to settle on a major, and he'd been up late studying at the library for a calculus test. Visions of variables danced in his head. He was fairly short for a college student, even a freshman, and his dark hair was swept over one of his lime green eyes, sticking up a bit on one side. He wore a collared shirt and sweater to keep out the chill, and some papers stuck out of his backpack, flapping in the slight breeze. He pushed his rectangular glasses up his nose and scanned the streets and alleyways. New York could be a dangerous place at night.
Glancing over his shoulder, he caught a glimpse of a figure in a red hoodie before turning his gaze ahead of him again, trying to ignore it. It probably wasn't a mugger. Or a slave dealer. Or a gang member.
It probably was, wasn't it?
He ran a hand through his hair nervously and put a hand to the pocket of his jeans containing a green flip-phone.

Upon closer observation, Terezi noticed that this person was obviously male. As previously mention, he was indeed young, and not that much taller than her. However, it seemed this male would be a bit of a challenge for. He had on some sort of collared shirt which stuck up over his sweater. People still wore those? Those were an offense to vampires and humans should be banned from ever wearing them.
The human turned and glanced in her direction. Did he see her? She wasn't sure, but she had to avoid getting the police called or worse, him getting a ride. With quick thinking, she knew what to do. She could pass him and when he took a turn she could turn around when he wasn't expecting anything and continue to follow him.
This is exactly what she did, and fastened her pace to go around him like some normal being would.

Tassek heard the footsteps growing louder and more frequent and stepped sideways, closer to the busy street and further from the potentially lethal alleys. He felt his heart start to race and took a deep breath, reminding himself that hundreds of people walked around the city everyday, and that not all of them were violent psychopaths. Probably.
He kept a hand on his pocket. Though it was unlikely that in the case of an emergency he would have either the time or capability to call for help, it provided some semblance of comfort. He watched the person as they passed and caught a glimpse of a girl's face, about his own age. He relaxed a little; she looked decently well off, as in she wasn't gaunt and starving, so she couldn't be /too/ dangerous.

As she passed him, he caught a glance of her. Great, now he knew her face. On the other hand, she caught a glance of him as well. It was obvious that he was worried, and he had every reason to. This was New York, after all. One of the most crime infested cities. It was why she chose to stay here for so long. She couldn't get caught.
Either way, she slowed her pace once she was in front of him. Maybe she could pull off the part of being an annoyed teenager trying to get home before she's grounded? Could she even play that part off? Was that too much for her? she doubted it. Once this gentleman would move once more, all she had to do was trust her ears and her instincts.

When she slowed down in front of him, he slowed himself, trying to keep his distance. Moving here had been such a bad idea, but he'd received a scholarship for a nearby university and it had been too good of a chance to pass up. Anything was better than having to live with his overprotective father throughout the majority of his adult life. Besides, a degree would help him to get a good job despite his...disability.

She heard him slow down. Good, exactly what she wanted. She took this opportunity to scan the surroundings. Since he was young, he probably didn't really have much money of his own. She took a left turn and walked further down the road. Next, she moved into an alley way and pulled, knelled down , and pretended to tie her shoe. If he passed her, she could easily follow him again without fear of being caught.

He paused at the corner, wondering where the girl had gone. Skirting the shadowy areas, he eyed the nearby shops for people. The presence of crowds could usually prevent a mugging since there would be a lot of witnesses, but unfortunately the only ones out and about were in bars or taxis moving to quickly to see anything of importance. He began walking faster, just wanting to get home as fast as possible now.

Terezi noticed his quickness and his haste. It was obvious he was catching onto her. Not exactly that she was a vampire, but something else obviously. A murderer? Probably was close enough. Either way, she had to finish what she came for. She stood up, and exited the alley. Slowly, she followed him once more, this time keeping a good distance from him.

He pulled off his glasses and cleaned them on his sweater, vision going momentarily blurry. Deciding to focus on something else to keep himself from panicking, he thought about the test tomorrow. The professor seemed to like him for how serious he was about the work, but unfortunately that had simply served to make him a sort of 'teacher's pet' and earn him a negative reputation among other students. Basically, he didn't really have any friends. It was a little depressing actually, but he dealt.

Now he was several yards from her. This was perfect. Clearly it was far enough for him to not hear her, but close enough for them to see each other. Her mind focused on him. What was he like? Did he have a family? Little dog in the backyard name Fifi? Rarely Terezi ever questioned her prey's lifestyle, since it was easier that way, but right now it was really all she had time to do.

Tassek didn't have a dog, or a backyard for that matter, but he did have a pet bird. He would have to feed it when he got home; otherwise it began trying to eat the newspaper on the bottom of the cage, and that never ended well. He could see his apartment complex up ahead and paused to fumble his key out of his pocket.

Terezi, on the other hand, didn't really have any pets of her own. Why would she? So she could kill them upon command? Definitely not. On top of that, she didn't really have many friends. It was easier that way. She never had to watch anyone grow old and outlive her. Never lose someone she cared about. Also the idea of someone being friends with their food seemed rather ridiculous to her.

His hands were shaking a little, and he dropped the key to the pavement by mistake. He crouched and squinted at the concrete, trying to recover the small metal object in the dark and failing pretty miserably. After a moment his fist closed on it and he moved to stand up.

She moved closer, trying not to catch his attention. This was her chance to catch him. Well, at least this should be an easy meal. Then again, he could quickly take off, but she could easily catch up to him. She was a vampire, afterall.

He straightened and took a step towards the building. He thought he could hear footsteps again, but he was too scared to turn around. The streetlights came on and he saw a long shadow looming beside him. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. With a squeak, he fell to the sidewalk again, asleep.

Suddenly, he fell to the ground. What the hell? The hell was his problem. She closed the distance between the two of them and knelled down beside him. Noticeably, he was still breathing, but deeply. Did he have some kind of condition or something? Well, what now Terezi? She could just kill him there, but she wasn't that heartless. She sighed. Well, she didn't know where he lived, so her house it was, since just leaving him out here wasn't truly an option. She picked him up, placed him onto her back, and turned around. To her house it was.

Terezi was currently in the kitchen. It would be noted that this apartment was probably on the higher end of things. Next to the him was a large window showing a skyline of the city, with black out curtains that hung neatly on each side of it. The kitchen that lied a decent be away from the living room was decorated with all sorts of glass and pans that looked like they never been touched. The ceiling lights that hung above the two of them gave a warm glow of light to the place. Terezi cleared her throat. Talking was the best idea. "I'm in here." She called out. She exited the kitchen. He'd probably bolt the second he saw her, but oh well.

He slid off the couch and hesitantly approached the kitchen. It seemed like a nice enough place. "What happened? I fell asleep, sorry, thanks for getting me off the street." Then he recognized the red-hooded girl from earlier and jerked back from the doorway, falling against the side of the couch. He was still awake, but his head pounded from where he'd smacked into the concrete. He let out a sharp breath and put a hand to his head, squinting at her. Technically she hadn't done anything to him, but she'd been following him around and that was enough to make him suspicious.

She immediately recognized that look. That look of fear. She took step forward carefully, as she didn't want to alarm him. "You took a nasty dive into some pavement. I don't think you should be making sudden movements right away or else you might hurt yourself more." It was a surprise to all that she was french, as from multiple generations in America has made her French accent fade. She paused, what was going to happen now?
2015-04-08 03:38:24 -

She was probably right. He carefully sat back down, considering the situation. Her motives seemed decent. What few she had, anyway. Why had she helped him? He couldn't think. "...thanks. Why were you following me?" Oops, that was a bit straightforward. But he wasn't in any state for subtlety. "Sorry, it probably wasn't on purpose. You didn't have to drag me back here, though...I mean, why didn't you just leave me there?" He was overloading her with questions. He should shut up now.
2015-04-08 03:44:50 -

Welp, He had every right to ask her why she followed him, though he quickly covered it up for her. She wasn't going to tell if she never asked. Information was only given when needed for her. "Well" She moved over to the other couch and sat down. "Well, I'm sure a lot worse things could happen to you if I had just left you there."
2015-04-08 03:52:33 -
🌀
....yes. Yes, they could have. "You're right. Thanks." It wasn't technically an answer, though. Wow, two couches? This place really was nice. He noticed his backpack on the floor and unzipped it, rifling through things to make sure it was all there. "I should probably get home. I'll take the subway or something this time." Oh. Nevermind that. He didn't have enough cash on him and his card had expired the week before. He never used it. "...or maybe not."

Without hesitation Terezi reached into her pocket and pulled a good bit of cash and held out her hand. "Here." She began. "Don't worry about paying me back, either." The money in she gave him was clearly more than enough to get him home. "There should be enough to get yourself something decent to eat and drink, you look like you need it."

He blinked in confusion and stared at the money. "What...oh, you don't have to, you've done enough, I can walk..." Admittedly, though, he was in dire need of a full meal. He was skinny and spent most of his time doing schoolwork. He didn't have the time or energy for things like grocery shopping.
